For the sake of complete honesty, I decided to stay anonymous. Mirae, we don't know each other at all, but reading your diary entries, seeing the way you interact with the world, and seeing the ease with which you express yourself online has given me the courage to allow myself and others to get to know me and interact with me and my work on a deeper level. You're never afraid to share your opinions, never afraid to tell people there's more to art than simple aesthetic value. You use art to understand the world and make an impact, no matter how small, and I respect that about you a lot. You've inspired me to be more honest, to allow others to see me for who I am, which's something I've given up on in fear of judgment a long time ago. So, thank you for being one of the stepping stones that motivated me to get out of my shell, and for proving to me time and time again that expressing yourself through art isn't a self serving act, and that it brings people together. Self expression appeals to the humanity of others, it makes them feel understood and seen. This is a valuable lesson I'm forever thankful for. Thank you for being you, literally haha.
